Managing an estate comes with a long list of responsibilities and clearing a property is one of the most time-consuming tasks. I work with Solicitors to ensure that the clearance process is handled efficiently, professionally and with sensitivity, acting as an external support to the Private Client Team to allow you to concentrate on your legal case load.

This can include finding important paperwork, sorting and clearing the contents, identifying items for sale, liaising with auction houses and arranging donations, recycling or responsible disposal. When requested I can also make property visits to meet insurance conditions.

Assessment of Contents
Knowing what to do with the contents of a property can be one of the hardest parts of the clearance process. If you're unsure what holds value, what can be sold and what should be donated, I offer onsite consultations to provide an assessment of a properties contents to help you make informed decisions. I can identifying items suitable for auction or private sale and where necessary can arrange valuations with trusted auction houses for probate applications.

Supporting Solicitors with Clients Moving into Care
Managing a property clearance when a client moves into care comes with its own challenges. While the focus may not be on preparing the property for sale immediately, there’s still a need to clear the home efficiently while ensuring the client has what they need in their new environment.
I assist solicitors in handling the practical side of this transition, from sorting and clearing the property to arranging the transportation of furniture, personal belongings and sentimental items to their nursing home. Having familiar possessions around them can make the adjustment easier, I take personal care to ensure their new space feels as comfortable and homely as possible.
