Meet Janet
House clearance is never just about clearing a property—it’s about making sense of a lifetime of belongings with care and consideration.
Whether you're handling a family member’s home or managing an estate as a solicitor, I provide expert guidance and hands-on support to help navigate the process smoothly.

With over 20 years in the vintage & antiques industry and more than a decade assisting families with estate clearances, I bring expertise in identifying valuable items, coordinating sales and ensuring that belongings are handled with care.
I believe in a responsible approach—maximising the value of items, minimising waste and supporting charities by donating where possible to both local & national organisations.

Unlike large clearance companies, I personally oversee every case, ensuring a respectful, tailored service that meets the unique needs of each situation.
Whether you need help sorting and valuing belongings, preparing a property for sale or simply deciding what to keep, I provide practical, empathetic guidance every step of the way.

If you’re feeling unsure about where to start, I’m here to help. Get in touch to discuss how I can support you through the process.

My Philosophy : A Thoughtful Approach to House Clearance
Perhaps it's my Yorkshire upbringing but I simply hate waste and, to me, house clearance is about so much more than just emptying a property.

I believe in giving items a second life, reducing waste and making a meaningful impact—both environmentally and socially. I’m passionate about recycling as much as possible, ensuring that valuable and useful items don’t simply end up in landfill.

I work closely with specialist charities and community initiatives to give household goods and personal belongings a second life. These aren't just the saleable items that go to auction or the things that we donate to charity shops to raise funds, these are often the things that would be sent to refuse or scrapped. Mobility aids are cleaned and donated to a charity that supports community projects abroad, providing essential equipment to those who would otherwise go without. Old tools are passed on to apprentices in Africa, helping them gain skills and start earning a living after training. By thoughtfully redistributing these items, we can create positive change in people’s lives while also protecting the environment.

This philosophy shapes everything I do—helping families navigate the clearance process with care and respect while making a positive difference to others.
